The Minicharger 16A is a standard charging cable for electric cars (Type 2). It allows you to charge on Type E/F sockets that you will encounter while traveling and will help you out in case of emergency.

• Lightweight and compact, this socket cable is a perfect replacement for the occasional charging cable (OCC) supplied by your vehicle manufacturer.
• Equipped with a dynamic thermal monitoring system, it automatically stops charging if there is a risk of overheating. Designed to operate for long hours without interruption, it is ideal for charging your vehicle overnight.

The Minicharger does not require any additional electrical installation. It can be plugged into a standard Type E / F (Schuko) power outlet.

However, if you want to benefit from an optimal or shorter recharge time:

• Use a dedicated line to charge your vehicle.
• Install a reinforced socket designed specifically for charging electric vehicles (Green'up, Hager Witty, Schneider Mureva, etc.). With a 16A setting, you can charge faster than with a standard socket.

Adjusting the amperage according to the socket

The control box allows you to adjust the current intensity (in amperage) depending on the socket used.

💡 Good to know: A standard 16A socket must not exceed 10A for charging electric vehicles in France.

The charging cable for high security sockets

The Minicharger is manufactured in France in a family workshop based in Alsace. It complies with the Mode 2 standard.

The cable is equipped with a thermal monitoring system at the domestic plug. If it detects overheating of the socket in use, the cable reduces the current or stops charging automatically. Thanks to this technology, you can charge your vehicle safely, which protects both your electrical system and your car.

With its IP44 protection rating, it is protected against dust and water splashes.

It ensures secure charging day and night, indoors and outdoors, in rain or light snow.

How does the Minicharger 16 work?

1. Plug the cable into a standard or reinforced outlet. The “Power” indicator light will turn on.
2. Select the charging current using the “+” and “-” buttons depending on the socket used. ⚠️ Set to a maximum of 10A on a domestic socket.
3. Connect the cable to your vehicle. Charging begins immediately after a self-check of the socket and vehicle status.
4. Monitor the charging status using the "CHARGE" LED (steady light: charging in progress; flashing light: charging complete).
5. Once charging is complete, disconnect the cable from the vehicle side first, then from the socket side.

When powered on, the last set current is automatically selected.
